This special issue dedicated to Karol Wojtyla, Pope from 1978 to 2005 with the name John Paul II, is intended as a tribute to an exemplary Christian and a great Bishop of Rome. The Church - in an official form today with his beatification at which his Successor Benedict XVI presided points to him as a model of holiness, recognizing the fruits of his tireless service in the cause of God and of man. This reconstruction is enriched by many rare pictures from the archives of photographic service of Vatican. His life history, presented in chronological order, although in summary form, concludes the publication.
